He is Cof-ounder and Executive Chairman of Human Longevity, genomics and cell therapy-based diagnostic and therapeutic company that aims to extend human life in a healthy manner. He is Co-founder and Chairman of Singularity University, a higher education institution located in Silicon Valley, focused on exponential growth technologies, their capacity to transform industries, and humanity’s greatest challenges. 

Diamandis wrote the New York Times best-seller Abundance: The Future is Better Than You Think. In his latest book, Bold: How to Go Big, Create Wealth and Impact the World, is a how-to guide for using exponential technologies, moonshot thinking, and crowd-powered tools to create wealth and, the same time, have a positive impact on the lives of billions of people.

He has BA in Economic Sciences from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and a Master in Public Policy from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.

He previously served as the Chair and Global Head of BlackRock Alternative Investors, Global Head of BlackRock’s Institutional Client Business, and as Chairman of BlackRock’s Asia Pacific region.

Es egresado de la licenciatura en economía por la Universidad de las Américas-Puebla, realizó una maestría en Políticas Públicas en la Universidad de Chile, un diplomado en Políticas Públicas en la Universidad de Chicago y obtuvo una maestría en Métodos Cuantitativos por la Universidad de Columbia en Estados Unidos.

En 2015 obtuvo mención honorífica del premio Banamex de Economía en la categoría de investigación, y en 2016 recibió el primer lugar del premio nacional de finanzas públicas otorgado por la Cámara de Diputados.

Before joining MarketAxess, she was credit default swap specialist for Tradeweb. She was senior sales associate for Advantage Data, and her career started at ClassMap, a virtual classroom startup. 

She has a BA in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Paul Romer
2018 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences

Paul Romer, 2018 Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, for his work in endogenous growth theory, and defender of charter cities.  He is Professor of Economics at NYU, former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank. He counsels business and government leaders of different sectors around the world on how to harness technology and innovation to foster long-term growth. He is founder of the NYU Urbanization Project and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Endowment for the Advancement of Teaching. He is member of the board of Community Solutions, a national non-profit organization focused on strengthening communities and put an end to homelessness. As an entrepreneur, along with his team in Aplia, he pioneered the development of online tools for college students. 

The New Growth Theory (developed with his colleagues) describes a new mindset regarding the creation of wealth, that provides government leaders with more choices to improve governance, investors with more opportunities to finance socially beneficial infrastructure projects, and people with more opportunities to improve the quality of their lives. 

His personal motto: The future is not as bleak as it seems.

Edgar Díaz Garcilazo

He has a BA in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and an Msc in Development Economics and Economic Policy Analysis from the Universidad Southampton. He has certificates in Financial Derivatives, PPP Project Investment and Implementation Analysis. He was Economics and Finances Advisor for Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies, serving in the Budget and Public Account, and Treasury and Public Credit committees. Mr. Garcilazo was Director, and later, General Director of the Macroeconomics and Sector Studies of the Chamber of Deputies Public Finances Studies. He was Treasurer-General of the Institute for Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) in Mexico, and Head of Revenue Services for the Housing Fund of the Institute of Social Security and Social Services for State Employees (FOVISSSTE). He was Deputy-Director General of Banking Operations for the Ministry of Finances Treasury of the Federation before joining the ISSSTE attain in 2019 as Regulation Manager of Economic, Social, and Culture Services, until September 15th, 2021.

Before joining Franklin Templeton, he served as chief operating investment officer at CalPERS, the largest defined benefit public pension fund in the U.S. He helped to lead initiatives focused on enhancing the portfolio, and investment decision making process, and he helped to re-design the asset allocation and investment strategy committee. Prior to CalPERS, he worked for Franklin Templeton for 20 years.

He has a BS from the University of California, in Davis, and a Master in Science of Finance from the University of London.
