He is founder of the NYU Urbanization Project and serves on the Board of Trustees of the Carnegie Endowment for the Advancement of Teaching. He is member of the board of Community Solutions, a national non-profit organization focused on strengthening communities and put an end to homelessness. As an entrepreneur, along with his team in Aplia, he pioneered the development of online tools for college students. 

The New Growth Theory (developed with his colleagues) describes a new mindset regarding the creation of wealth, that provides government leaders with more choices to improve governance, investors with more opportunities to finance socially beneficial infrastructure projects, and people with more opportunities to improve the quality of their lives.

Christopher Pissarides has been a Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics for 38 years.

He specializes in the economics of labor markets, economic growth and structural change, especially markets with frictions. His book Equilibrium Unemployment Theory is a benchmark in the economics of unemployment.

For the last decade, he has worked extensively in the labor implications of automation and artificial intelligence, as well as the emergence of China as a global economic power.

In 2010 Sir Christopher Pissarides was recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, with Peter Diamandis (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), and Dale Mortensen (Northwestern University) for his work in the economics of unemployment. In 2005 he was awarded the IZA Price in Labor Economics (with Dale Mortensen) for his work in unemployment, and in 2008 he received the Republic of Cyprus “Aristeion” for the Arts, Literature and Science.

Before joining Lexington in 2008, he was an associate at Goldman Sachs. He graduated from the Technological Institute at Buenos Aires, he has a Master in Industrial Engineering and Business Administration from the Schools of Business, University of Columbia.

His key responsibilities include oversight of client investment solution development and portfolio managers. His team works closely with the company’s global distribution groups on all Multi-Asset Solutions opportunities across a broad range of clients.

Before joining Franklin Templeton, he served as chief operating investment officer at CalPERS, the largest defined benefit public pension fund in the U.S. He helped to lead initiatives focused on enhancing the portfolio, and investment decision making process, and he helped to re-design the asset allocation and investment strategy committee. Prior to CalPERS, he worked for Franklin Templeton for 20 years.

He has a BS from the University of California, in Davis, and a Master in Science of Finance from the University of London.

A cartoonist with a long career in electronic and printed media, he was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He was awarded the National Journalism Award for political cartoons in 2000, and the José Pagés Llergo National Communications Award in 2006.

You can listen to his show, La Chora Interminable, with his colleague Jis, co-creator of the comic strip series and 2012 movie “El Santos vs la Tetona Mendoza”.

He has published eleven volumes of his comic strip “El Santos”, “Historias Desconocidas de la Independencia y la Revolución”, to commemorate Mexico’s bicentennial, “Historias Desconocidas de la Conquista”, and the book “Historias del fin del mundo y otras patrañas”, “Viva la familia, pero bien lejos” and “El Regreso del Rey Chiquito”, all of them published by Tusquets.

He later joined Novartis Farma, as Regional Director for Central America, the Caribbean, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, and Chile, from Buenos Aires, and VP for Marketing and Sales in Mexico. He was Managing Director of Valeant for Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and Venezuela.

He is founding partner of INNOVASALUD, a mutual fund that specializes in the field of health. He has been member of the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry Board, the Mexican Association of Pharmaceutical Research Laboratories, the American Group of Pharmaceutical Laboratories, and the Mexican Association of Market Research and Public Opinion Agencies.

He teaches a Course in Pharmaceutical Management at Tec de Monterrey.

Daniel Urias

He specializes in personal finances and has over 10 years of experience in financial education. He is an international speaker, and has given over 150 speeches in Mexico, Central and South America.

Edgar Díaz Garcilazo

He has a BA in Economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and an Msc in Development Economics and Economic Policy Analysis from the Universidad Southampton. He has certificates in Financial Derivatives, PPP Project Investment and Implementation Analysis. He was Economics and Finances Advisor for Mexico’s Chamber of Deputies, serving in the Budget and Public Account, and Treasury and Public Credit committees. Mr. Garcilazo was Director, and later, General Director of the Macroeconomics and Sector Studies of the Chamber of Deputies Public Finances Studies. He was Treasurer-General of the Institute for Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) in Mexico, and Head of Revenue Services for the Housing Fund of the Institute of Social Security and Social Services for State Employees (FOVISSSTE). He was Deputy-Director General of Banking Operations for the Ministry of Finances Treasury of the Federation before joining the ISSSTE attain in 2019 as Regulation Manager of Economic, Social, and Culture Services, until September 15th, 2021.

Since January 2019, he has been Chair of the Mexican Association of Retirement Funds Administrators (AMAFORE).

He has worked as regulator of the financial system. He was VP of Regulatory Policy at the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV); later, he was head of the Department of Finances (SHCP) Banking, Securities and Savings, and finally, President of the CNBV.

During this period, Bernardo González helped design the 2014 financial reform, he led the renegotiation of the financial services chapter of USMCA. He was in charge of the design and passing of the Fintech Act at Congress, and the development of the secondary regulations.

Bernardo has held different executive positions at development banks, such as Financiera Rural and Banco del Ahorro Nacional y Servicios Financieros (Today, Banco del Bienestar). As head of the SHCP Development Banking Unit, he was in charge of public policy activities at the six development banks and agencies I Mexico, and was chair of their Managing Boards.

As consultant, Bernardo González has worked for multilateral organizations, including World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank (BID), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and United Kingdom Department for International Development (UKDFID).

Bernardo González has been member of international standard setting bodies such as the G20 Financial Stability Board (FSB), the Basel Committee, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the Financial Action Task Force (AFTF), among others.

Bernardo has a degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Finances from the Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and a Master in Public Policy from the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy.

He has been professor of public finances and economics sciences at the Iberoamericana University, the Panamericana University, and ITAM.

She was President of the Mexican Society of Public Health during the two-year period 2017-2018, being the first non-medical person to be appointed to the position in over 75 years of existence of this association.

She has Law Degree from ITAM. She obtained her MSc in Economics and Health Care Polices from the University of Birmingham, UK. She is a Doctor in Public Health Service Administration. With career spanning over 20 years in finance, and before his appointment as Managing Director of Banco Azteca, Eduardo Parra was in charge of restructuring the investment area of said entity, improving the investment management process, and strengthening its technological capacity.

He has held different positions in national and international financial institutions, such as Merrill Lynch, Banco de Mexico, Scotiabank, Barclays, Actinver, and PiP (Proveedor de Precios).
